Our camel milk originates from dromedaries ie from single humped camels. The milk is packed in bottles of 500ml and kept frozen.  Once thawed, it can be kept for three days in the refrigerator.

Note: As camel milk is not processed it is possible that milk fat will float after thawing. In this case the simple solution is to shake well.

Camel milk tastes similar to cow’s milk. Some people experience a slightly salty taste. The diet of cow’s and camel’s is mainly grass what influences the taste of the milk.

Camel milk turns sour more slowly than cow’s milk. The reason being that camel milk contains more substances that slow down the growth of bacteria.

Camel milk coagulates slower in the stomach than cow’s milk. This explains why the substances of the camel milk are easier to move from the stomach and intestine to the bloodstream then the substances of cow’s milk. On the other hand, the advantage is that the quality of the structure of the camel milk doesn’t get lost when it is frozen.

  • The camel’s milk in the farm is genuine, that is nothing is added and nothing is taken away from it. Soon after it is milked, the camel’s milk is immediately deep-frozen in special tunnel – freezer. Research carried out by the Dutch Institute of Diary Research (NIZO) proves that no harm is done to the good ingredients of camel’s milk during the freezing process and that it does not lose its healthy ingredients.

  • Diabetes – Insulin regulates the absorption of sugar into body cells and therefore plays a key role in sugar metabolism. Insulin is produced in the β-cells of the pancreas. People with diabetes Type I don’t produce insulin. People with Type II diabetes do produce insulin, but the body cells are less sensitive to insulin. If there is not enough insulin, the blood sugar rises.Camel milk contains a protein similar to insulin. Normally, insulin collapse in an acid environment, such as in the stomach. Therefore insulin loses its efficacy when this protein reaches the stomach. Camel Milk ingredients collapse much slower in the stomach. It is assumed that camel milk insulin does reach the bloodstream and that camel milk thereby affects sugar metabolism better than cow milk.
    Furthermore it is assumed that camel’s milk also might have an anti-inflammatory effect on the β-cells of the pancreas. On this basis, an effect is attributed to camel milk that is favourable for people with diabetes.
  • The milk is kept frozen at -18 degree (-18ºC). Drink it within 3 days after defrosting and shake it before you consume. After it is defrosted, do not re-freeze.
  • Scientists have proved that camel milk contains a quantity of vitamin (c), three times higher than from cow milk, while the percentage (casein) to 70% of in camel’s milk protein, which makes it easy digestion and absorption compared to cow’s milk.  The percentage of fat in camel milk is lower than in cow’s milk, it is also slimmer granules easily absorbed and digested.   The concentrations of vitamin B-1, B-2, in camel’s milk superior to its counterpart in the dairy sheep and goats, is resistant to toxins and bacteria, and a large proportion of antibodies.
  • Camel milk is low in lactose compared with cow’s milk. However, levels of potassium, magnesium, iron, copper, manganese, sodium and zinc are higher than in cow’s milk.
  • Cholesterol in camel milk is lower than cow or goat milk.
  • Camel milk is 3 times higher in vitamin C than cow’s milk and 10 times higher in iron.
  • It is also high in unsaturated fatty acids and B vitamins but less in vitamin A and B2.
